Environmental, Social & Governance Investors throughout the world are increasingly interested in environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. ESG investing, also referred to as sustainable investing, considers ESG issues in the security selection process of portfolio management. It is not a separate asset class, a single strategy, or even a single type of action. Investors and portfolio managers have been incorporating ESG-like practices in their investment analyses long before ESG was recognized.
